Thank You to Swindon Town FC & Their Wonderful Fans!

15 March 2026

What an incredible day it was! We are absolutely over the moon to share that our recent sock sale at the County Ground on Saturday 14th March was a truly heart warming success — and it wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity, kindness, and community spirit of everyone at Swindon Town Football Club and their amazing fans.

Thank You, Swindon Town FC

First we would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to Swindon Town Football Club for giving us such a wonderful opportunity. Allowing us to come along, set up, and share our message at the County Ground meant the world to everyone in our group. Your support for World Down Syndrome Day goes far beyond just opening your doors — it also sends a powerful message that inclusion, awareness, and community truly matter.

It is partnerships like these that help us reach so many more people and remind everyone that individuals with Down’s Syndrome are a valued, loved, and vital part of our community. We are so grateful for your warmth and welcome. A huge thank you to Caroline Lane, DLO at STFC for organising this event and the promotion of “Unite For Access.” for disabled sports fans.

Thank You to Every Fan Who Bought a Pair of Socks!

To every single fan who stopped by, picked up a pair of our odd socks, and donated so generously — thank you, thank you, thank you. Your support means more than words can express. Whether you knew exactly what World Down Syndrome Day was all about, or you simply wanted to show your support with a bright and cheerful pair of socks, you made a real difference. #lotsofsocks

Those socks represent something so much bigger than a fun accessory. They are a symbol of awareness, acceptance, and solidarity with individuals with Down’s Syndrome and their families. Every pair sold is a reminder that we are all in this together.

An Amazing £394.60 Raised!

We are thrilled to announce that together, we raised a fantastic £394.60 for Swindon Down’s Syndrome Group. This money will go directly towards supporting individuals with Down’s Syndrome to gain access to work through our Workfit programme.

That figure is a testament to the generosity and big-heartedness of the Swindon Town faithful. You truly showed up for our community, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Together We Make a Difference
