SWINDON DOWN'S SYNDROME GROUP'S CHARITY BALL
I am writing to inform you that we are holding our Charity Ball again next year. The last one was such a huge success and raised a substantial amount of money for our Speech and Language Therapy groups.
The Charity Ball will be held on Saturday 26th March 2011 at the De-Vere Hotel in
The evening will be hosted by our Patron, local Radio Station DJ Howard Taylor from Total Star. This event is open to all those over the age of 16.
Tickets are available as follows:-
£40.00 each for adults with Downs Syndrome, Parents and Carers
£45.00 any additional adults attending
If you buy a table of 10 or more, the tickets are available at f40.00 per person.
We require a f 5.00 (non-refundable) deposit per ticket, to secure your place on the evening. A monthly payment plan will also be offered for those who wish to pay in stages. The balance needs to be paid by 31th January 2011 at the very latest.
If you wish to attend this spectacular event, and have the chance to dress up for the evening, then please fill in the attached form and return to me as soon as possible.

Swindon volunteers recognised by The Queen with prestigious Award
The Swindon Downs Syndrome Group has been announced as one of 103
The prestigious National Honour recognises outstanding contributions made to local communities by groups voluntarily devoting their time for the benefit of others. It sets the national benchmark for excellence in volunteering, with the work of those awarded being judged of the highest standard.
The Swindon Downs Syndrome Group has received the Award for voluntarily supporting families in
Winners of this years Award were selected from 341 groups nominated by members of the public who have been helped personally or witnessed the benefits of a groups work in their community.
The Swindon Downs Syndrome Group will receive a certificate signed by the Queen and an exclusive commemorative crystal, presented by Her Majesty's representative in Wiltshire, John Bush at a special ceremony.
